Over the years, I've often been the "go-to Mum", offering guidance, safety and a listening ear not just to my (now adult) children but to their friends too.  Alongside this, I've cared for loved ones with complex needs and supported family through Alzheimer's, deepening my understanding of compassion and resilience in difficult times.

Professionally, I've worked for over 25 years in Welfare Rights, helping people navigate the complex benefits system and supporting Special Guardians to receive the correct income for their children.  

For many years, alongside Welfare Rights, I worked as a Registrar for weddings, guiding couples and families through one of their most important life events.

These roles have shown me how much of a difference empathy, knowledge and encouragement can make.
